Augie Announces Bid for Presidency

Bassets worldwide rally in support

August 5, 2000 -- Augie Not a Foster (NAF) stunned the basset community today when he announced his intention to seek the White House.  He cited his distress with the political posturing of the Republican and Democratic candidates for president, and their lack of focus on issues important to bassets.  Promising pig ears for every pupster, he indicated that he will soon be forming his campaign team.   Interested bassets are encouraged to contact Augie directly.
