Support for Augie Builds

Augie is INDEED the doggie

August 10, 2000 -- The basset hound community has been rallying its support for Augie NAF, who announced his run for the White House on August 5th.

One of the first to pledge support was da Moose, who enthusiastically supports the pig ear legislation.  His endorsement will help with the dopey vote.  Parkerwade, Bentley and Preston followed with their support.  His campaign got a royal boost with an endorsement from Princess Ashley and Woo wooed that he would be part of the pawlitical team.  On the west coast, JP, Arthur, Gwenevere, BB and Merlyn drafted a campaign plank of mandatory counter cruising and trash diving. 

BuddyBoo and Lafoot gave their enthusiastic support, and Flash provided a whole menu of items to be included on his platform.  Mr Wiggins and Max wanted Perrier Water in every bowl, an indication of Augie's appeal to the upper class basset.  The pawlitical machine of Boss Tweed endorsed him 1000%.

King Dudley pledged his support and willingness to serve as roving AmBASSETor.   Stan and Maude suggested that the candidate support legislation to lower counters for easier cruising.  Homer indicated his desire to become Secretary of Agriculture.   Noah Go Slowah even persuaded his slave to support the Dopeycrats!  Maggie woofed that she would be willing to provide cabinet opening expertise to Augie's kitchen cabinet.

Cleo offered to become Stinker of the House with a "no bath" pledge.   Mandy Noel and Molly Rosebud pledged to bring in the all-important Iowa electoral votes.  Proving that the dopey vote is in support of the ticket, Hawkeye indicated his desire to become head of the Intelligence Department. The ever pwoper Queen Fey offered to provide her services as chief of Pawticle.

The speculation continues as the party awaits Augie's selection of VP.
