Augie Finally Comes Out

Dopeycrats may have solved rat puzzle

September 13, 2000 -- Today Presidential hopeful Augie NotAFoster made his first public appearance since the hospitalization of his grandmother, rewarding members of the press who have been camped out in front of the medical facility.

When asked how he thought the brief appearance of the word "Rats" in George W. Bush's television ads might affect his campaign, NotAFoster looked confused and said "Rats?  RATS?  The Republicans are adding RODENTS to their Presidential campaign?  Hmmmmm.  Have they lost their minds?  Bats, Rats, Cats .... FAT CATS!!!!  It's a code ... they're asking for slush money!  We've got 'em on the run now!!!"

NotAFoster turned to resume exploration of the hospital shrubbery, then paused and turned back to the reporters, "Bassets belong in the White House -- NOT rats. The Dopeycrat party will NEVER allow rats in the White House."

Supporters of the Dopeycrat campaign seemed relieved that their candidate had emerged to make a statement, however brief and confusing.  Some have been openly questioning the leadership of Augie's VP candidate, especially in light of the continuing allegations of personal impropriety.  And no one mentioned Moose's cryptic subliminable ad.   Probably out of supreme embarrassment.
